Woodinville vs. Eastlake (W 75-57)

The Lady Wolves from Eastlake came to Woodinville with a 4-1 record. Their lone loss to the Lady Knights from Newport. The Wolves are led by 6'1" Alyssa Charlston. The Idaho bound senior averages 15 points per game She is complemented nicely in the post by 6'0" sophomore Kendra Morrison.

The gym was host to a lively crowd for a Wednesday night game. The pep band was making their first appearance of the year and sounding off on the brass. Many alumni were back home for the Christmas break and excited to see the the new Woodinville girls . In addition, BYU head coach Jeff Judkins was in the stands to take a look at some of the local talent.

The Lady Falcons got off to another great start behind some perimeter shooting from Amanda Frost and Sarah Hale coupled with the inside play of Ali Ford. After one quarter of play the Falcons were up 18-7 with all but 2 of Eastlakes points coming from the free throw line. The half finished with a last second shot by Carmen Vasilatos that extended the lead to 39-24.

The ladies came out of the locker room at half with renewed energy and put up 21 more points in the third to finish the quarter up 60-39. The Wolves who were remarkable all night at the free throw line would hit 14-15 in the fourth quarter to win the final stanza by the score of 18-15. The Lady Wolves were led by sophomore Kendra Morrison with 12 points on the night.

Sophomore Ali Forde led the Falcons with 20 points and 15 rebounds. Junior Melissa Gilkey added 18 points and Amanda Frost 12 more all from behind the arc. Crystal Nybo did all the work behind the scene with 8 assists, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals. Maddie Graham came off the bench with 8 points and was a perfect 3-3 from the field and 2-2 from the free throw line. The ladies together were also a very respectable 20-25 from the charity stripe on the night. The Falcons improve their season record to 4-0 on the season.
