The Lady Falcons tipped off at 6:30 in the Lake Washington gym. It would be the last time they would be playing in the historic Chapple gym. The ladies from Woodinville were eager to hit the hardwood and remove the bitter taste from last weeks season first defeat to Newport. The Falcons, howevever, would sputter early. The girls missed several easy layups and misfired from the perimeter. After one quarter they held a slim 10-9 lead.
Seniors Crystal Nybo and Amanda Frost would help turn things around in the second quarter with 15 of the teams 21 points. Nybo would finish the game with a career high 22 points to go along with 8 rebounds and 3 assists. The Falcons led at the half 31-20.
Melissa Gilkey and Ali Forde owned the boards all night. The Falcons struggled the entire evening from the perimeter but Gilkey and Forde cleaned up the glass. Together they combined for 29 of the teams record high 53 rebounds. Gilkey tied the school record with 9 offensive rebounds in one game. Gilkey and Forde also added 14 and 13 points respectively.
